This is our crazy dog Thunder.  At 7 months old, she is still very much a puppy.

Thunder does manage to run a few miles with me now and then.  I think she's going to be a good one.

This is our horse Jack doing what he does all day long - eating grass.

Jack is a trained reining horse and he treats me OK.  I don't know if he'll win us any prizes but you never know.

This is Nickers.  Our kids have been riding her before they could walk. She is a pretty good pony but she never wants to come into the barn at night and can be a pain.

This is Penelope, one of our barn cats.   Although she is only 6 months old, she somehow got herself pregnant.  I guess we're about to have more barn cats.  The kids already have the names picked out.

Last but not least is Trophy.  He's a good-looking cat.  He and Thunder have an unusual relationship as he allows Thunder to carry him around the yard like a pup.  Different.

Fun Facts

Thunder is a pure bred black lab that comes from a very good line of dogs.  My hope is that we can breed her in a couple years.

We currently have an embryo reining horse that is inside a surrogate mare in Texas.  We took one of the best reining mares and studs in the country and the combination is what should appear soon.

Jack is being used in a new business venture of ours.  Dana does equine coaching.  As Dana has her masters in OD from Case Western, she is combining her horse expertise with her OD know-how to facilitate leadership training.

I am allergic to cats which is the greatest allergy in the world to have because it means we cannot have cats in the house.  Although I have always despised house cats, I like having them around the barn.  I never see any little creatures in the barn or shed.
